We are officially a group!!

Come and join the party by clicking the "Join" button and choose which level of membership you want. Upload your art to our gallery, add relevent deviations to our favourites, write archaeology/cultural heritage related blogs and just hang out with other deviants who are passionate about archaeology!!
MembershipYou can automatically apply to be a Member, you can apply to be a Contributor (needs approval), and lurkers can just watch the account. You can also send out invites to people you know who you think would be interested in joining us.

Contributors can suggest favourites, write blogs and are members of the group.

Members are members of the group, can suggest favourites, but cannot write blogs etc.

Watchers are not members of the group. They will just be notified when we update our blogs.
All Members and Contributors can suggest favourites. You can do this by dragging the favoured deviation to your collections panel and submitting it to the group folder. You can also go into the favourites tab at the group and suggest one of your own, one of your personal faves, or search for a new one

These will be approved the group administration. The group favourites should be things dealing with archaeology, cultural heritage management, museums, ruins, artefacts, excavations, archaeologists etc - topics relevant to the group. Blogging topics should be similar.
The GroupWe are archaeologists or people interested in archaeology. Anthropologists etc are definitely welcome! The aims of the club are to link deviants with an interest in archaeology, and to amass a collection of deviations which are related to all things archaeology (artefacts, ruins, digs, etc).
CustomisationIf you have a creative impulse to make #
ArchaeologyClub-themed items (IDs, journal css, avatars etc) please be my guest! I just roughed up some when I created the club. We have a couple of stamp makers here (myself included) and ~
LylicaGalatea (aka ~
MyStamps) made us a club stamp and has another archaeology stamp you might like

If you have any other correspondence, please send me a note or email deviantart.archaeologyclubATgmailDOTcom
If you have any friends who might like to join, please make up some sensational non-malicious gossip about #
ArchaeologyClub to get them to check out our club (archaeologists do it in the dirt etc)

and if you come up with any good ones, please let me know! I'm planning to make some stamps LOL
Group ResourcesBelow is a list of reputable journals and resources on archaeology. If you know of any more, please leave details below. By reputable, I mean resources used by practicing archaeologists and academics, or places where archaeologists and academics publish research.
